RESTAURANTS
Check online for hours of operation. Many of the restaurants are only open for dinner, not seven days a week.​

Ray's Shanty offers fabulous seafood at very reasonable prices. We enjoy the Maco Bites and fish sandwiches. It is located off the Island, 15 minutes away.

Don’s Seafood Market and Restaurant / Chatties Lounge - Good seafood on the island. We enjoy their crab cake sandwiches, fried shrimp basket, tuna bites, and clam chowder.

Island Creamery - Handmade ice cream in all the flavors you can imagine. Always open!
Blackfin - Good food for the conscious minds. Nice variety of items.

Amarin Coffee Shop - Breakfast pastries are fantastic.
​
Famous Pizza - Located on Maddox near the traffic circle. It serves great pizza, subs, gyros, and more!

Sandy Pony Donut - Yummy donuts! It is located next to the Pharmacy on Maddox.

Maurice - Fusion restaurant with eclectic menu. $$$ and make reservations. Located in Ononcock, VA. Approximately 1 hour away.

WATER ADVENTURE RENTALS
​
Chincoteague Island Outfitters - Kayak, paddle board, canoe, beach chairs, and more. They will drop off and pick up equipment at condo.
​
Snug Harbor Marina - Skiff rentals. A boat license is required.
​
*VA Boating and Registration Requirements - Due to the following regulations, many rental companies stopped renting boats. There may be one or two locations still offering rentals, see Snug Harbor (above) as a possibility. "All operators of PWCs (Personal Watercraft such as jet skis, Sea-Doos, Wave Runners) and operators of Motorboats with a 10 hp or greater motor will be required to have a boating safety education course completion card on board when operating a PWC or Motorboat."

CRABBING OR FISHING

If you want to do either and don’t have your own equipment, go to Captain Steve’s on Maddox and ask for Jimmy. If Jimmy isn’t there, his Dad, Tom, or brother, Pete, will most likely be there to help out. They have daily rod or trap rentals and any type of bait or tackle you might need.

BIKING & WALKING

We love to bike and walk around town. If you would like to rent bikes near the condo to take around town, I suggest Chincoteague Island Outfitters. If you would like to rent bikes to ride around the Nature Loop, I suggest The Bike Depot.
​
BikeTripper.net and NPS.gov have mapped out some of the more popular biking and hiking trails on Assateague. Many of the roads on both Assateague and Chincoteague are bike-friendly.

​A kid-friendly route to town: Right out of Sea Tag parking lot. Left onto Wayne Road. Right onto Ridge Road. Go straight at the stop sign to head towards ice cream, mini-golf, and the beach. A kid-friendly bike path intersects the road prior to the major intersection.

Outdoor and Indoor Courts
Indoor courts are only available during group events, which take place several times per week. Check the PLAYTIMESchedule App for days and times. The group events are fun, and everyone is welcoming. Outdoor courts are available without reservations.
